Oil Of Oregano Benefits

Hello To All You Beautiful People!

I wanted to write an article of an illness I had and how I was able to use a natural antibiotic to cure myself.   In October 2013,  I was training a new employee at work and she had a terrible cough…well, not even a week later, I ending up contracting whatever virus this was.  I coughed and coughed and coughed for weeks…which unfortunately, turned into months of non-stop coughing.  My abdominal muscles hurt and I’d get head aches from coughing so much.  You’d think I would just take time out to go to the doctor…but I was starting a new job, and didn’t want to take time off work to see one.  I was coughing so much it was very irritating…irritating to me, my husband at home, my new co workers…I knew there had to be a natural alternative to finally  be free from this horrible virus and non stop coughing.  After researching for several hours and days I noticed that I was reading a lot about Oil of Oregano Benefits; which is a natural antibiotic.

After a lot of research on Oil Of Oregano Uses, I decided to purchase it in capsule form.  These capsules have actual Oil of Oregano in a liquid form inside.  When my order came in the mail, I started monitoring my own results and the health benefits of this wonderful natural antibiotic.  I was taking two capsules twice a day for the first week.  On the second week I took just one capsule twice a day; which was in the morning and at night.  I did this for the next three weeks, for a total of one full month.  After the second week, I noticed I was not coughing as often.  By the third week, I was coughing just a few times here and there…once in awhile.  During the Fourth week, I happened to be at home and my husband made the comment to me that he noticed I haven’t been coughing at all and wanted know what I did or if I finally broke down and saw a doctor.  I told him how I researched the benefits of oil of oregano and how I read it is a natural antibiotic.  I told him that since I started taking it, my cough slowly went away.  He was just as astonished as I was at this miracle I found.

I only used this for about two months.  After the first month, and after my coughing went away, I simply used it sparingly.  Maybe one capsule every other day or two…just to keep up my immunity.  A couple of months later, I no longer took it as I wanted to give my body a break from it.  I bought a bottle just to keep on hand, in case I started feeling under the weather again.   I ending up getting a sinus infection, so I broke open a capsule and put the drops in a bowl of boiling water.  I draped a towel over my head and breathed in the steam.  I doesn’t smell so great, but it cured my sinus infection.  I only did this for three days in a row, as well as swallowing a capsule twice a day for a week.  My sinus’ cleared up and the headaches went away.

Oil of Oregano side effects – I myself, did not notice any side effects when I used the capsules.

I told some people that I work with about my experience and one of the gals went to the local health food store and talked with a nutritionist about oil of oregano.  The nutritionist told her that she herself uses the actual liquid form.  She uses three drops a day in her water or juice and said that she has not had a cold or flu in the last eight years since she’s been using it!  I do not use it everyday; however, whenever I start to feel a little under the weather, or notice a cold coming on, then I take one capsule twice a day. Usually by the third day I feel normal again.  I noticed that it helped to shorten the duration of a cold or flu that may have lasted longer, had I not taken the oil of oregano. My wish is that though my own life experiences, I am able to help someone else that has not found relief from coughing…or even someone that is looking for a natural antibiotic to get through the cold and flu season.

In your search for your own health and well being, I hope you will do your own research on this wonderful natural antibiotic.  I searched online and found that web md had some great information as well.

Oregano Oil Uses –  Oregano is a plant. The leaf is used to make medicine.

 –  Oregano is used for respiratory tract disorders such as coughs, asthma, croup, and bronchitis. It is also used for gastrointestinal (GI) disorders such as heartburn and bloating. Other uses include treating menstrual cramps, rheumatoid arthritis, urinary tract disorders including urinary tract infections (UTIs), headaches, and heart conditions.

Oregano Oil Benefits – Some natural health enthusiasts promote oregano oil as a means to fight cold and flues, keep your digestive tract healthy, and soothe problem skin.
During my research, I read that it’s not for everyone.  The therapeutic use of oregano oil should be avoided in infants and children, and pregnant or nursing women. It also should be avoided by people with high blood pressure or a heart condition. It’s always a good idea to talk to your preferred medical professional before starting a new wellness routine, and to disclose your use of alternative therapies in case of counter-indications with other medications or treatments.

Here is the link to purchase the exact Oil of Oregano on Amazon that I used to cure my constant irritating cough, as well as the sinus infection I had.

I am not a physician and will always advise that you consult with your own physician before starting any type of natural supplements or herbs.

If you are searching for natural alternatives relating to menopause relief, here’s an article I wrote about Maca Powder; which helps with hot flashes or night sweats.

Here’s to your new found health and Thank you for reading my true life experience of the oil of oregano benefits I had.
God Bless,
Sherri
